Job Description:
Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is looking for an IT Application Developer/Senior for RPA. The Senior RPA Developer provides technical expertise and support within the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) team. The RPA team is responsible for developing, maintaining, enhancing, and providing production support for automated processes across various departments and systems.
Senior RPA Developers engage directly with stakeholders at different organizational levels to identify effective technical solutions for business needs. They possess the capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues within tight deadlines, particularly in support of complex automation processes.
***This is a full-time/permanent on-site role in Lincoln, Nebraska. Not eligible to be a contracted position.
**The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services does not sponsor STEM (form i-983) or non-immigrant work visas for this position.**
Examples of Work
  • Accountable for the entire RPA project lifecycle under minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to gather system requirements, conduct independent research on process enhancements and issues, perform analysis and design of automated solutions, programming, testing, and related tasks.
  • May manage small-to-medium projects or components of larger projects.
  • Troubleshoots and debugs web development and automation workflows to ensure properly functioning process flows and progress.

Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience, education, or training in coding computer applications; programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of experience, education, or training in RPA or relevant areas.
  • Proficiency in RPA tools such as UiPath
  • Familiarity with integration platforms and APIs.
  • Understanding of business processes across different domains.
  • Previous experience with Jira and Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with UiPath Orchestrator for managing and monitoring deployed robots.

Other: Consistent and punctual attendance. Position is located on-site at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in all stages of RPA development, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with RPA development tools and technologies in an enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in working with databases and data manipulation techniques.
  • Expertise in integrating RPA solutions with other systems like Web and legacy applications.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation and design specifications.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a focus on achieving common objectives.
