Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) who is ready to focus on prevention, improve outcomes for infants and mothers, and broaden your public health and supervisory experience? Central District Health (CDH) is currently recruiting for an RN Program Manager to lead our dedicated Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) program in our Boise office. This program focuses on maternal and early childhood health to foster long-term success for first-time pregnant mothers and their babies. The Nurse Manager will ensure fidelity to the model, manage the program, hire, and supervise nurse home visitors, and will carry a small caseload of up to 10 families.

Typical Duties:
  • Work with a third-party national service office to sustain the NFP home-visiting program and complete required training;
  • Hires and trains a small team of RN home-visitors;
  • Supervise RN home visitors; assign and evaluate work of direct reports, evaluate/manage performance;
  • Provides guidance to home visitors on difficult client cases and manage the most complex and/or highly sensitive cases;
  • Participate in long-range planning and policy development;
  • Monitors activities of the home-visiting program and identifies opportunities for improving service delivery methods, provides recommendations for best practices and implements improvements;
  • Ensures program contractual agreements are met;
  • Prepares and monitors program budget to ensure appropriate use of funds;
  • Compiles and reports on data elements to meet subgrant requirements;
  • Develops and maintains community referral sources for the NFP program;
  • Participates in agency meetings and committees involving the home-visiting program;
  • Provides home visiting services for families.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin;
  • Good knowledge of supervisory practices;
  • Experience assessing nursing practices for compliance with policies and procedures and recommending appropriate actions.

Preferred Qualifications (these are not mandatory, however, having these qualification may increase your overall ranking):
  • Worked in public/community health, including home visitation;
  • Provided maternal/child health services, particularly in community setting;
  • Provided program management and one-on-one supervision;
  • Worked with diverse populations, communities, and organizations.
