Description:

As a Payroll Specialist at Island Hospitality Management, you will be responsible for processing full cycle payroll for properties throughout Islandโ€™s property portfolio.


Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Process payroll for employees in the organization
  • Maintain personnel database regarding salaries
  • Report to department supervisor regarding daily activities and issues
  • Work directly with clients to achieve organizational goals as required
  • Work with company database programs to process payroll
  • Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll, company budgets, and expenses
  • Enter payroll maintenance information for properties
  • Enter new hires, employee changes, and process terminations into the payroll system
  • Review payroll batches and registers
  • Process garnishments and other payroll-related deductions
  • Address and resolve any payroll issues from employees and supervisors
  • Distributing and mailing checks
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor

Job Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required
  • Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
  • Previous experience with Paylocity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional multitasking and organization skills
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
