Description
The prestigious New York Athletic Club, one of the world's premier private clubs, founded in 1868 and located on Central Park South in Manhattan is seeking a regular full-time Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will assist the Controller and Management staff with assistance on all financial-related task.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Controller with financial statements.
  • Audit weekly City House and Travers Island payroll.
  • Oversees, monitors and works to improve accounting procedures, internal controls and database management.
  • Audits work flow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with industry standards.
  • Reviews and justifies expense reports and other expenditures.
  • Assist in preparing of budgets and annual audits.
  • Manage journal entries, invoices and reconcile accounts.
  • Assist the Controller with special projects as necessary.
  • Manage monthly closing processes.
  • Handles special projects as requested by the Controller.
