IR Neuro Radiology Technologist (Neuro IR Tech)
Location: Rochester, New York (Onsite)
Work Type: Contract
Positions: 4
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Shift Details

  • Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes

  • 1-2 weekdays per week
  • 1-2 weekends per month
  • Callback: As per unit needs The IR Neuro Radiology Technologist is responsible for supporting neuro-interventional radiology procedures in a high-acuity hospital environment. This role involves assisting physicians during complex neuro procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging. Key Responsibilities Clinical Procedures
  • Assist in neuro interventional radiology procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging and procedures
  • Support radiologists during fluoroscopic and IR procedures Equipment & Imaging
  • Operate X-ray, CR, and DR imaging systems
  • Ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment issues Patient Care & Safety
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
  • Administer oral contrast as needed
  • Follow patient rights and safety protocols Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and IR team
  • Support department workflow and assist team members
  • Demonstrate professionalism and accountability Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate procedure documentation
  • Follow hospital and regulatory standards
  • Ensure medication and equipment compliance Must-Have

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of Radiology / IR experience
  • Neurosurgery / Neuroscience experience (Required)
  • Active New York State License (Required)
  • BLS Certification (AHA - Required)
  • Strong experience in imaging and radiologic procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interventional Radiology experience (Preferred)
  • Experience in Neuro IR procedures
  • Experience in high-acuity hospital environments
