Job description

Job Purpose

Responsible to ensure all the molding machines are running within the correct processing parameters.

Essential Functions

  1. Will communicate with the previous shift regarding issues during their shift.

  2. Startup molding machines and ensure they are producing conforming parts.

  3. Adjust processing parameters as needed.

  4. Setup molds on an as needed basis.

  5. Follow work instructions on the cleaning of tools.

  6. Required to comply with waste management program instructions.

  7. Submit downtime reports in IQMS.

  8. Submit work orders in IQMS.

  9. Complete all required documentation.

  10. Assist in developing or modifying existing processes to increase efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Assist with shift supervisory duties when necessary

  2. Provide training to new technicians.

  3. Required to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.

  4. Capable of lifting, moving, pushing and/or pulling up to 55 lbs.

  5. Support, comply and ensure complicity of:

    1. All company policies, procedures, and requirements

    2. Health and Safety regulations

    3. Quality Management Standards (IATF 16949:2016)

    4. Environmental Management Standards (ISO 14001:2015)

  6. Participate in EMS, OHS, and QMS awareness meetings.

Education, Experience and Competencies

  1. High School Diploma is preferred.

  2. Prior experience is required

  3. Moderate verbal, written and computer skills

  4. Good interpersonal skills

  5. Must be levelheaded and able work with others.

  6. Ability to lead, motivate, select, train, and instruct personnel.
