Job description

Job Description Rothwell Figg seeks a Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in the area of patent litigation, who must be able to handle all aspects of complex litigations, from pre-litigation phase, through trial and appeal. Successful candidates must have applicable knowledge of federal district court rules and procedures, litigation terminology and documentation, and docketing procedures; strong organizational and analytical skills; the ability to set priorities and multi-task; and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Candidates must be computer proficient, with experience and working knowledge of Lexis, Westlaw and other litigation-research databases.

IP litigation (federal courts), PTAB and/or ITC experience is a plus. This position requires flexibility to work overtime as needed and some travel may be required. Rothwell Figg offers a hybrid work schedule, excellent benefits, and competitive salaries.

This hybrid work position is in the Washington, DC office. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Organizing and maintaining case files and databases on a daily basis; Maintaining case dockets and advising attorneys of due dates; Organizing and coordinating document retrieval and review projects; Performing basic legal and factual research; Assisting in the preparation of pleadings, exhibits, written discovery and production documents for motions, discovery, hearings and trials; Cite checking and proofreading pleadings and other documents; Overseeing and managing all aspects of a case from pre-litigation through trial and appeal; Ability to work independently with a strong attention to details; and Maintaining up-to-date time reports to ensure accurate client billing.
