Job description

Job Description If you are interested in the health care field, this is a great position to start in. The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for part time Resident Aides to assist on the unit. Scheduled hours are 7:00 a.m

to 1:30 p.m. working at least 40 hours in a pay period and every other weekend. As a Resident Aide, you will help residents by changing sheets, making bed, refill water pitchers, refill treatment bucket, put away clean laundry

Duties also include assisting with passing meal trays and assisting during meal time. Provides support and physical assistance to residents by participating/initiating additional activities such as playing cards, table games, reading, crafts, writing letters for residents and taking residents for walks or outside for fresh air by wheelchair. Escorts or participates with resident activities, writing letters for residents, taking residents for walks along with other assigned duties.
