The Antenna Technologies team resides in the Defense Missions Technology group in Defense & Aerospace (D&A) business unit. The Antenna Technologies team develops phased array solutions for our customers that meet their mission requirements.
SUMMARY: We are recruiting for a Program Manager (PM) within Qorvo's Antenna Technologies team to be accountable for successful execution of phased array programs ranging from R&D through production.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate for this position will be expected to perform the following duties:
  • Drive the execution of programs to maintain cost, technical performance and schedule.
  • Work directly with the Antenna Technologies leadership team to meet tactical and strategic goals of the team.
  • Manage programs ranging from R&D, New Product Introduction, and Production.
  • Manage programs through a structured, gated design review process.
  • Manage all aspects of programs including scheduling, risk and opportunity management, contract change management, resource forecasting, and earned value metrics.
  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team including RF antenna designers, RF engineers, mechanical and thermal engineers, layout resources, assembly and test resources, and supply chain ecosystem members through all phases from prototype to qualification and production while maintaining internal financial commitments.
  • Coordinate internal Qorvo engineering resources when needed, including Silicon, GaAs, and GaN integrated circuit (IC) development and packaging teams.
  • Coordinate all aspects of supply chain ecosystem, including printed circuit board manufacturers, assembly and test vendors, and specialized outside engineering services with internal supply chain team.
  • Directly support customers with regular program status including technical performance, cost, schedule, and risk/opportunities.
  • Support opportunity and proposal review processes.
  • Develop and maintain cost models from early prototype phases through production.
  • Directly support quarterly and annual strategic planning process.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering equivalent experience in phased array technology.
  • 12+ years of experience in the defense, semiconductor, or communications industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills working with both Operations and Business Units.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Independent team player and can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to coordinate discussions and action plans with internal engineering, operations, and business unit teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, business management tools and SAP systems.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive internal suppliers and customers and cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Experience successfully communicating internal assessment of program proposals to customer-facing Account Managers and key functional team managers/directors.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in engineering equivalent experience in phased array technology.
  • Prior experience with RF semiconductors or microwave modules preferred.

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $148,100.00 - $192,500.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
