Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Design and implement data collection strategies from IoT devices.
  2. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to IoT production improvements.
  3. Utilize statistical methods to identify patterns and correlations within the IoT data.
  4. Evaluate production issues using IoT data to develop improvement ideas that will streamline production, increase efficiency and improve quality.
  5. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to implement changes based on data analysis to enhance production efficiencies.
  6. Create clear and concise reports to communicate findings and actionable items to stakeholder including business leaders and technical teams.
  7. Perform time studies as needed to evaluate production equipment performance, layout and design.

QUALIFICATIONS

  8. This job will also require the ability to learn and utilize an existing I-Gear IoT/MES software.
  9. Strong work ethic, take ownership/responsibility for projects, and maintain high level of productivity.
  10. High aptitude to pick up on engineering principles and new technology.
  11. Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  12. Ability to work well with others.
  13. The ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  14. Knowledge of TS and ISO requirements.
  15. Knowledge of Toyota Production System and lean manufacturing concepts is a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Clear/concise written and verbal skills will be required. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of team members.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Microsoft Word, Outlook, Visio, and Project experience.
Skilled in using AutoCAD, Solid Works, or other drafting software.
Ability to use data analysis and display tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Python, or Microsoft Excel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Principles of calculus, trigonometry, and other advanced topics in math for analysis, design, and troubleshooting are necessary. Ability to perform high level mathematical calculations and to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several variables.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours throughout the week and weekend may be required as job duties demand.
