The Live Event Manager - Network to ensure seamless network connectivity and surveillance operations for live events. This role involves setting up and maintaining secure network infrastructure, installing and configuring security cameras, and monitoring live feeds to ensure the safety of attendees, staff, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both network administration and surveillance systems and be able to work in fast-paced environments with large crowds.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Setup and Maintenance:
  • Design, configure, and deploy event-specific network infrastructures, including wired and wireless networks.
  • Ensure proper connectivity for all event-related systems, including security cameras, communication tools, and vendor operations.
  • Troubleshoot network issues in real-time to minimize downtime during the event.
  • Secure the network with appropriate firewalls, encryption, and access controls to prevent unauthorized access or data breaches.

Security Camera Installation and Monitoring:
  • Install, configure, and test security cameras, ensuring optimal coverage of event zones including entrances, exits, stages, VIP areas, and crowds.
  • Monitor live camera feeds throughout the event, responding promptly to any suspicious activity or security breaches.
  • Maintain real-time communication with on-site security teams for rapid incident response.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure all surveillance equipment is functioning properly during the event.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Act as the primary technical support contact for any issues related to network connectivity or surveillance systems during the event.
  • Perform troubleshooting of camera malfunctions, network issues, or other system-related concerns under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Maintain and document configurations for future reference and ensure smooth post-event teardown of all network and surveillance equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years in network administration or IT support, preferably in live event settings.
    • At least 2 years of experience with security camera installation and monitoring systems.
    • Strong familiarity with setting up both wired and wireless networks in temporary or mobile settings.
  • Preferred:
    • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar network certifications.
    • Experience working with large-scale events, such as concerts, conventions, or festivals.
    • Knowledge of advanced network security protocols and encryption techniques.
    • Experience with network optimization for high-traffic environments.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
    • Expertise in troubleshooting network connectivity issues and security camera system failures.
    • Familiar with various surveillance systems, including IP cameras, NVR/DVR setups, and cloud-based monitoring solutions.
    • Strong communication skills for coordinating with event staff and security teams.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong team collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift/move up to 60 pounds.
    • Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including shop floors, office settings, event venues, and outdoor conditions.
  • Work Environment: The work environment includes office settings, shop floors, and outdoor venues. Employees may be exposed to wet, humid, or hazardous conditions, as well as moderate to high noise levels. Flexibility and adaptability to varying environments are essential.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be able to travel up to 150 days a year.
    • Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
    • Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid passport for travel outside of the US.
    • Must pass a drug screening, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
