Job description

Seeking an experienced CCTV/Security Camera Installation Technician to install and configure 3–4 IP security cameras in a commercial server room. Cameras must provide complete room coverage and capture all entry and exit activity.


Responsibilities:


Conduct an on-site assessment and recommend camera placement.

Install and securely mount 3–4 IP security cameras.

Run, terminate, label, and test required Ethernet/low-voltage cabling.

Configure cloud-based recording with at least 30 days of video retention.

Establish secure remote viewing access for an overseas IT team.

Configure user accounts, permissions, alerts, and playback access.

Test camera angles, image quality, recording, playback, and remote connectivity.

Provide system documentation and basic user training.

Follow server-room security and cable-management standards.


Required experience:


Commercial CCTV and IP camera installation

Cloud-based video surveillance systems

Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and PoE equipment

Network configuration and troubleshooting

Remote viewing and mobile/web application setup

NVR/DVR or cloud video-management systems

Experience working inside data centers or server rooms preferred
