Job Expectations:
1.Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production and packagingequipment.
2.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems.
3.Diagnose equipment failures using a structured root cause analysis process.
4.Complete work orders, PMs, and repair documentation within the CMMS.
5.Install, modify, test, and commission new equipment and production lines.
6.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
7.Support processing equipment including roasters, coating systems, conveyors, packaging machines, scales, metal detectors, and facility utilities.
8.Work closely with Production, Quality, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Operations to maximize equipment uptime.
9.Maintain spare parts inventory and identify critical replacement components.
10. Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), GMP, SQF, HACCP, OSHA, and all company safety policies.
11. Participate in continuous improvement, equipment upgrades, and cost-saving initiatives.
12. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas. Escalate any non-conforming product/equipment/material to the appropriate manager/supervisor immediately.
13. Assist outside contractors during installations and major repairs.
14. Train machine operators on basic equipment care and safe operation.
15. Provide back-up support for other roles, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 1.3 -5 years of relevant experience.
- 2.Excellent knowledge of maintenance and operation principles, policies, and practices.
- 3.Experience with high-speed processing and packaging equipment.
- 4.Thorough knowledge of PLC, pneumatic operated systems, schematics, one phase, three phases’ motors, all aspects of conveyor feeding and packaging.
- 5.Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- 6.Able to perform projects independently, and complete work in a timely fashion.
- 7.Experienced with all working tools, AC/DC electrical systems, calibrated measuring instruments, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, among others.
- 8.Able to read and interpret diagrams, charts, schematics, documents.
- 9.Able to perform basic math.
- 10. Able to perform predictive and preventative maintenance.
- 11. Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
- 12. Effective verbal and written communication.
- 13. Experience in the food industry is preferred.
- 14. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
