Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center , is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park, neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Fort Lauderdale Behavioral features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year. FLBHC provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic services to children, adolescents, and adults, including:
  • 24/7 Clinical Assessment Center
  • Inpatient Hospitalization
  • Inpatient Program Residential Treatment Facility and Partial Hospitalization Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services
We are currently looking for a DIRECTOR of IOP/PHP/CLINIC who is responsible for overseeing outpatient treatment program and administration and operations of all outpatient services. Must demonstrate effective management skills and staff supervision as well as providing staff with ongoing education regarding patient population. Must have the ability to work collaboratively with administration, physicians, employees, peers and providers.

Qualifications
Education/Training:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with minimum of Master's degree in psychology, social work or mental health related field.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

Experience:
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in the mental health field.
  • Experience in providing and supervising individual, group, and family therapy
  • Experience in working with health insurance utilization management
  • Working knowledge of Mental Health Interventions such as Electro Convulsive Therapy and Trans-cranial magnetic Stimulation

Licensure/Certification :
  • CPR certification
  • LCSW, LMHC, or CAP required

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Well organized
  • Works independently
  • Ability to provide supervision (clinical) for registered interns
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and manage stress appropriately.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Good customer service skills
  • Aware of community resources available to coordinate discharge planning/referrals.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of program and philosophy.
  • Ability to be sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices
