Brown Advisory is currently seeking a proactive and professional individual to fill our Investment Operations Analyst position. The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide operational support to the Investment team through client transactions, technology expertise and data administration. A successful candidate will be a proven self-starter who brings strong accountability, knowledge and detail-orientation to the organization.
The primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Work closely with the Investment team and internal teams to provide superior service and support to our clients
  • Daily review of completed transactions report and cross reference of all expected transactions (capital activity, client cash requests, etc.) to verify completion and detect anomalies
  • Daily triage of the "statement inboxes" to identify actionable communications from fund managers and task appropriate team members
  • Daily review of cash availability for upcoming money movement transactions
  • Maintain portal access for investments, facilitate delivery of related documents to interested parties as needed, and support the team's workflows maintaining capital activity and valuations across required platforms
  • Provide coverage for other team members as needed
  • Contribute to ad hoc client-related and team projects as needed

Desired Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • A bachelor's degree with a record of academic achievement
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Computer savvy and the ability to easily embrace and master new technology solutions
  • Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills, and an analytical approach to solving problems
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Ability to take direction and work independently to complete tasks
  • Flexibility to take on new responsibilities in a rapidly growing business
  • Keen judgement and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work in Washington office location

DC Salary: $66-80k. Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
