Job description

White collar defense is one of the few litigation practices where no two matters look alike — a DOJ investigation one month, a congressional inquiry the next, an internal investigation for a board after that.


A Global 100 firm is hiring a mid-level investigations and white collar associate (3–5 years) in New York. Base salary $245K–$320K depending on class year.


You'd represent companies, boards, executives, and individuals in high-stakes criminal, civil, regulatory, and congressional matters — working alongside former prosecutors and experienced investigations counsel, with real substantive responsibility at your level.


The work includes:


  • Internal investigations — witness interviews, factual development, privilege analysis, and investigative reports
  • Responding to government and grand jury subpoenas, CIDs, and agency inquiries
  • Defending clients before DOJ, SEC, state attorneys general, inspectors general, and congressional committees
  • Matters involving fraud, False Claims Act, FCPA, securities enforcement, and OFAC/BSA/AML


What you bring:


  • 3–5 years of white collar, government investigations, enforcement, or complex litigation experience
  • Real reps conducting investigations and responding to government inquiries
  • Strong legal writing, sound judgment, and discretion
  • Trial, deposition, clerkship, or government experience a plus; New York bar admission
