Job description

The NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda is the world's largest hospital dedicated to clinical research, supporting 17 Institutes with inpatient and outpatient care. Its Nutrition Department delivers complex, patient-focused food services and supports over 150 specialized diets while contributing to clinical research through protocol design, data analysis, and nutrition science integration.Qualifications:In order to qualify for an Inventory Management Specialist, GS-2010 at the GS-11 level, you must have:
A. Completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.M., if related;
OR
B. 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1) providing integrated management and control of activities involving specialized supplies and equipment; 2) planning and determining current and future requirements for the major supply groups assigned; 3) maintaining inventory control records in an automated system; 4) investigating discrepancies between the physical inventory and the inventory database in order to review corresponding records and resolve problems; 5) developing documents and reports on inventory results;

C. A combination of post baccalaureate education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
