Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Manager of Logistics to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. This role oversees daily shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations to ensure timely, cost-effective distribution. Manage warehouse/shop staff, maintain accurate inventory, coordinate with carriers, and optimize supply chain processes. Key duties include enforcing safety protocols, reducing costs, and resolving logistical issues.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
ORGANIZATIONAL - LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZATION
  • Lead, supervise, and develop logistics staff, including training and performance management
  • Plan and prioritize daily operations to ensure efficient shipping, receiving and warehouse workflows.
  • Schedule personnel and allocate resources to meet productivity and delivery targets.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiates.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

INTERPERSONAL - EXPEREINCE REQUIRED
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams across all levels of the organization.

LOGISTICS, MATERIALS MANAGEMENT, SHIPPING & RECEIVING - EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
  • Oversee end-to-end shipping, receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including tracking, reconciliation, and accuracy.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays and inventory issues.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and ERP systems.
  • Experience managing supply chain processes and mitigating bottlenecks.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Management: Oversee daily shipping/receiving, material handling, packing and warehouse workflows to ensure on-time delivery.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule logistics personnel, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and productivity standards.
Inventory & Data Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage data, and ensure accurate record-keeping of goods received or shipped.
Optimization & Compliance: Analyze Logistics metrics to identify, recommend, and implement improvements in efficiency and cost reduction. Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and company policies.
Relationship Management: Liaise with local vendors, carriers, and suppliers to oversee service & rates and manage supply chain bottlenecks.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
General:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain management (5-10+yrs). Familiarity with international logistics and associated documentation, and ability to stay current on changing rules / regulations for international freight movement, is required.
Leadership: Strong team management and employee mentoring skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Technical: Proficiency with inventory management software, data analysis tools and MS Office a plus.
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve shipping discrepancies, transportation delays, or inventory issues
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field is frequently preferred --- (Will consider High school diploma + 10 yrs proven experience in the field)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • The position will be based full-time in our RMS Bay Area Boulevard facility located in Pasadena, TX.
  • This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.
  • This position can be required to participate in the company random or customer specific drug and alcohol screening and background check.
  • Able to understand, read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Able to pass a pre- employment drug and alcohol test and background check.
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to stand and walk for significant portions of the shift.
  • Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs., walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance.
  • Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage.
  • Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may work / enter a shop or field service environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there will be machining operations that generate moderate noise.
