The Inventory Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting our stores by maintaining inventory accuracy, reducing losses, improving operational efficiency, and maximizing the value of our inventory assets. Position Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy and asset management across five retail repair locations. This role performs inventory counts, investigates inventory discrepancies, manages vendor returns and buyback programs, assists with chargeback investigations, and helps identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory and improve inventory performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with store managers, technicians, and company leadership to ensure inventory processes are followed and company assets are properly accounted for.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Control

  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits at all store locations.
  • Verify inventory accuracy for repair parts, accessories, devices, and consigned inventory.
  • Investigate inventory shortages, overages, and discrepancies.
  • Research missing parts and identify root causes of inventory issues.
  • Audit inventory adjustments and ensure proper documentation.
  • Verify inventory transfers, receiving procedures, and inventory movements between stores.
  • Assist stores in maintaining organized inventory storage areas.
  • Conduct periodic full physical inventories as assigned.
Vendor Returns & Buybacks

  • Coordinate vendor buyback programs.
  • Process and track product and part returns.
  • Ensure returned products are properly documented and submitted.
  • Monitor return status and vendor credits.
  • Assist stores with preparing parts and products for return.
Chargeback & Return Investigations

  • Investigate rejected vendor returns.
  • Research chargebacks, credits, and inventory-related disputes.
  • Track unresolved claims and follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain records of disputes, credits, and recoveries.
Excess Inventory Management

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare inventory accuracy and asset recovery reports.
  • Monitor inventory shrinkage and identify trends.
  • Report findings and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure company inventory procedures are followed consistently across all locations.
  • Assist with training and reinforcing inventory best practices when needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical inventory counts.
