Job description

Position Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and the physical organization of inventory of the Conroe, TX facility. This is a highly active, hands-on leadership position that requires a "lead from the front" mentality. They are expected to be on the floor, ensuring materials are organized, labeled, and efficiently staged. This role combines strategic inventory oversight with the physical management of warehouse space and material movement to support production.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Accuracy
  • Lead inventory accuracy initiatives, including cycle count program oversight (with support from a cycle counter).
  • Investigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory, including disposition strategies and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data and improve ERP system utilization.

Warehouse Operations & Material Flow
  • Oversee warehouse organization, layout, optimization of space and location control.
  • Ensure materials are properly stored, organized, and labeled; ensure signage is accurate and updated.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and visual organization.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
  • Supervise cycle counting activities.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Logistics, and Accounting to align material priorities and resolve issues.
  • Drive accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement across operations.

Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Identify gaps in inventory control and warehouse processes; implement sustainable improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and data integrity requirements.
  • Support audits and maintain compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management.
  • Prior hands-on leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory systems.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/warehouse setting with regular walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and equipment exposure.
  • Standard schedule with occasional overtime as needed.
