Job Summary
The Inventory Control Manager (ICM) is responsible for managing all operations related to inventory control, expediting, product placement and maximizing cubic efficiency.?The ICM will provide leadership, direction, and oversight to maintain accurate inventory within the facility, working with all other departments to root cause problems, implement solutions, and monitor progress. The ICM has functional knowledge of all other departments within the DC and holds others accountable to proper inventory practices.

Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Train, coach, develop and hold accountable up to X employees to achieve operational metrics and satisfy the needs of the distribution center.
  • Manage all operations regarding Inventory Control including facilitating customer re-shipment requests, removing roadblocks for our shipping department, acting as Quality Assurance for all other departments and maximizing cubic efficiency within the DC.
  • Prepare the facility for new inventory, collaborating with the facilities department to manipulate storage racking and eliminating dead stock.
  • Maintain a high degree of inventory accuracy, complying with company policies such as Cycle Counts and Audits.
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with procurement, with an emphasis on communication.
  • Ensure the quality of receiving, stocking, and shipping processes through analysis and development of current/new operational strategies. Provide comprehensive training to inventory personnel on issue resolution and effective communication.
  • Generate reporting to improve the accuracy of inventory throughout each department, initiate and oversee projects once problems have been identified.
  • Ensure the proper rotation of food products within the facility, issue accountability for mistakes made in this area, communicating with procurement if an issue is identified.
  • Lead weekly and monthly meetings to share information including metrics review, areas of improvement, employee relations issues, and provide updates on ongoing initiatives and related projects.
  • Analyze opportunities for improvement including productivity growth, cost reduction, damage mitigation, and increased process efficiency.
  • Ensure the timely completion of all employee performance reviews and provide frequent and constructive feedback to all team members in accordance with the Great Employees Only philosophy.
  • Interact with employees regularly to promote a high level of engagement and ensure all safety regulations are followed.
  • Promptly complete all admin duties relating to employee management to the expected standard.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team within the building to meet the needs of the DC and foster a team mentality.
  • Create development plans for employees to generate engagement and a leadership bench, with a focus on Team Leaders.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and honesty, embodying the core values of the company and modeling them for our employees.
  • Serve as a leader not only for the assigned department, but for the entire distribution center, holding peers, managers and employees accountable to expectations.

Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operations management; 2-3 years' experience with receiving and inventory management preferred.
  • Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.?
  • Experience working in a distribution environment preferred.?
