Job description

The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for managing daytoday supply chain execution, including planning, inventory control, logistics, and order fulfillment. This role ensures timely and accurate delivery of products while optimizing inventory, controlling costs, mitigating operational risks, and supporting performance targets. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure efficient, compliant, and customerfocused supply chain operations.

Main tasks and objectives:
Manages inventory and provides customer support and commercial assistance for allocated products. Acts as liaison and internal focal point for customers, suppliers, and the company. This position will oversee the entire order lifecycle and work closely with internal stakeholders to satisfy customer and supplier requirements.

Individual tasks:
- Provide customer service/support and build business relationships.
- Coordinate and support commercial and logistics activities for allocated product(s)
- Review, document, and communicate customer and supplier requirements as outlined in contracts and
agreements.
- Coordinate sample requests and quality control activities as required.
- Enter, process, and transfer purchase and sales orders, including entry of expected costs that are associated with
orders.
- Answer inquiries from internal and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Coordinate shipment transportation with external carriers procured from the strategic logistics team.
- Review, create, and validate individual shipment paperwork.
- Identify solutions to supply chain operational constraints.
- Voice constraints or inefficiencies with processes internally
- Track, trace, and manage railcar fleet if applicable for allocated product(s)
- Responsible for inventory control, planning, and reconciliation in coordination with Product Management
- Coordinate internal inventory adjustments including repackaging, sampling, and surveying.
- Invoice and administer outgoing sales as well as any corresponding debit or credit notes for additional charges.
- Approve or investigate supplier invoices through our doc capture system as well as any corresponding debit or
credit notes.
- Enter and investigate and resolve non-conformances and claims in conjunction with Quality, Product
Management, and Logistics.
- Maintain purchase and sales archives in accordance with ISO 9001
- Complete End of Month responsibilities such as on-time reporting of inventory, review/correction of expected
costs, full completion of monthly purchases, transfer and sales orders, and invoicing for monthly shipments.
- Issue returns (purchase and sale) in the system as needed once approved by Senior SCOM
- Attend commercial meetings as needed.
- Participate in specific projects during the year as a part of team collaboration and to continue process
improvements.

Required professional background & qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, planning, or a related discipline.

Experience in chemical distribution or manufacturing environments preferred.

Exposure to global or international supply chain operations strongly preferred.

Required Tool Know How:

  • ERP systems (SAP / S/4HANA preferred)
  • General ERP order, inventory, and logistics modules
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
