About this Opportunity: 

The Inventory Control Clerk 2 is responsible for receiving, issuing, kitting and management of all components used in Vander-Bend Manufacturing. The Inventory Control Clerk 2 is responsible for all materials in the "Raw In process" area, and for developing cycle counts and updating system inaccuracies.


Responsibilities:

  • If temporarily assigned, receives, counts, and stocks incoming material from UPS, Fed Ex, Freight Forwarders, etc. 
  • Verifies and processes material receipts in accordance with company procedure. 
  • Cycle counts inventory locations. 
  • Verifies, counts, and receives sub-assemblies from manufacturing into VISUAL MANUFACTURING. Assists Warehouse Supervisor or Shipping Manager as required. 
  • Develops and maintains Kan Ban carts for new assemblies. 
  • Maintains "FIFO" inventory. Reviews material requirements with Assembly Manager or Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintains ACCESS reports that use system BOMs that are used for pulling kits. 
  • Pulls "Kan Ban Kits" and records material shortages. Develops and Maintains inventory locations in VISUAL MANUFACTURING.
  • Assures the successful issuance of materials against assembly orders by bar-coding and receiving of kits and completed materials from assembly.   
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma. 
  • 2 Years related job experience. 
  • Understanding of ERP systems. 
  • Years of computer experience using windows based software. Knowledge / Skills 
  • Basic Arithmetic. 
  • Ability to work with limited supervision. 
  • Good organization skills. 
  • Ability to complete moderate to complex administrative documentation. 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Thorough understanding of "System Inventory Transactions" Adjustments, Issues, Receipts, Returns. 
  •   Ability to lift 50 pounds. 
  •   Extended periods of time standing. 
  •   Extended periods working on a computer.
