 What You'll Do:

As an Inventory Control Clerk, you'll help maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, supporting production, and ensuring materials move efficiently throughout our manufacturing operation.

  • Perform cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, packaging, and inventory throughout the facility.
  • Review inventory records and ERP system data to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Research inventory variances by reviewing transactions, documentation, and material movement.
  • Partner with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments to resolve inventory issues and minimize production disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support continuous inventory improvements.
  • Conduct physical inventory audits and assist with scheduled inventory counts.
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting Pelican's commitment to Quality and Continuous Improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of inventory control, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience performing inventory counts, reconciliations, or inventory analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP system.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices, cycle counting, and material transactions.
  • Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
