Mechanical Inventor / AutoCAD Drafter

(Inventor & AutoCAD required)

Location: Miami, FL (On-Site)
Type of Work: In Office
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
Type of Contract: Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: $27/hr (based on experience)
Description
Prepares clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes by performing the following duties. This position plays a critical role in translating engineering concepts into manufacturing-ready documentation using CAD tools.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Makes final sketch and flat pattern layout of proposed drawings.
  • Verifies dimensions of parts, specifies materials, and evaluates the relation of parts to each other and the whole.
  • Applies knowledge of mechanical systems, mathematics, materials, and design standards to finalize drawings.
  • Makes necessary adjustments to meet engineering and production requirements.
  • Utilizes AutoCAD and Inventor software to develop 2D and 3D models.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in similar duties
  • Experience using Autodesk Inventor (required).
  • Experience using AutoCAD to create and modify technical drawings.
  • Ability to interpret engineering sketches, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of mechanical drafting principles, dimensions, tolerances, and layouts.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical components.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing technical drawings.
  • Ability to make revisions and updates to drawings based on engineering requirements.
  • Good mathematical and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple drawing revisions.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained on company-specific products and processes.
