The Crew Member is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor on invasive plant management team. The person in this position may operate a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, trim, cut and dig plants, dig trenches, install barriers, install mulch, clean up debris and remove waste materials, including loading trailers. The Crew Member may assist other crew members, crew leader and other supervisors.
Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performing a variety of tasks and assigned work duties involving strenuous manual labor on outdoor projects and worksites
- Maintaining a clean job site; picking up all tools and equipment and securing job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
- Maintaining and safeguarding assigned equipment
- Loading and unloading trucks and trailers, as well as material handling and storage
- Carrying out job site beginning and ending duties
- Performing required light maintenance of equipment
- Maintaining personal health and sanitation standards
- Reading and interpreting safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents
- Ensuring that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bringing problems to the attention of the Crew Leader or Business Owner
- Sharing ideas and taking on different roles and responsibilities.
- Supporting and assisting other crew members as needed.
- Working hard and effectively in fast-paced environments, meeting unexpected challenges, and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Practicing attention to detail by noticing small details and ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of our work.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
- Proper identification of invasive plants that are the focus of the work
- Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in landscaping
- Ability to focus and learn plant identification, proper methods of invasive plant management and proper selection and use of tools
- Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
