Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for working with all areas of MOHELA to analyze application needs/problems and provide solutions through requirement analysis, system design and review, system architecting and implementation. Generally able to lead and/or own significant and complex application projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Angular Framework Development - Demonstrable experience designing, building, and maintaining user-facing applications using the Angular framework, focusing on responsive UIs, reusable components, and high performance, while collaborating with Business Users, BAs and backend Developers to integrate APIs, write clean and testable code, and ensure seamless functionality that matches the Business requirements.
  2. SQL Server - Application development experience using SQL Server involving a wide range of skills focused on designing, building, and maintaining applications that use SQL Server as their relational database management system. This experience should encompass the entire software development lifecycle and generally involves a blend of database management and programming skills.
  3. Application Design, Development, Maintenance and Troubleshooting - Ensure standard development methods and procedures are employed, and time commitments are achieved. Prepare project plans, schedule work assignments and delegate authority. Insure development of documentation for programs and systems in a clear, complete and concise manner. Must do code review and assist in systems implementation and testing. Coordinate technical and business help to users in the resolution of systems problems and inquiries.
  4. Application Maintenance and Troubleshooting - Monitor application status and perform necessary administrative configurations to achieve best response time and reduce or eliminate unnecessary or accidental shutdowns. Examine custom applications developed by MOHELA to determine overall integration and compatibility with the network and other programs; Respond to and resolve issues that arise with applications by researching the request, estimating time to complete, changing the necessary code, testing, and implementing.
  5. Applications System Architecting, Information Security and Review - Architect applications system to ensure optimal performance, best user experience and maintain high availability for mission critical applications. Work with IT information security and MOHELA's management team to understand information security requirements and follow industry best practices to safeguard Non-Public Information entrusted to IT. Review applications and operational deployments to identity system security vulnerabilities and present ideas on system improvements.
  6. Project Management - Adherence to project plans and timelines to ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned projects. This includes providing time estimates, tracking statistical data, performing research, outlining project tasks and developing necessary management reporting. Provide support to less senior team members on preparation and execution of an effective project plan.
  7. Communications - Provide regular and timely project status updates to management. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders. Effectively communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems from four-year college or university
  • 5+ years in technical design and development with at least 3 years in Angular Framework development, testing, and deployment
  • Angular framework programming and SQL
