Description

American Traveler is hiring a first-time-traveler-friendly RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring Epic proficiency and at least 2 years of IR or relevant nursing experience.

Details
  • Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital cancer center setting
  • Small 2-nurse clinic with 4 treatment rooms
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM); 5x8-hour schedule may also be considered
  • No weekend requirements
  • No on-call or float requirements
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • EMR: Epic (experience required)
Requirements
  • Active OH or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in central line insertion assistance and management
  • Experience with implanted port care and maintenance
  • Experience with PICC line care and maintenance
  • IV insertion skills required
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, and pressure ulcer assessment/prevention
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); second reference may be from a Charge RN — co-worker references are not accepted
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must be self-motivated and able to think critically in a small, independent clinic environment; orientation will be tailored to individual needs
  • Navy blue scrubs required (not provided by facility)
  • Ohio fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after booking; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
  • Former employees of the facility are eligible after a 6-month separation period
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
  • Parking is available on campus through CampusParc at osu.campusparc.com, with multiple permit options ranging from a budget surface lot with shuttle access to a guaranteed-access medical center garage
