Job description

ABOUT INTERROLL:

The Interroll Group is one of the world’s leading specialists within the field of internal logistics. Among the company’s 23,000 customers worldwide are plant manufacturers, system integrators and equipment manufacturers. Our Products are in daily use by global brands everyone knows, like Amazon, Bosch, Coca-Cola, DHL, Procter & Gamble, Red Bull, Siemens, Walmart and Yamaha (Motorcycles). In addition, Interroll initiates global research projects for logistics efficiency and is actively supporting industry associations for standards or better use of resources.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The Associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the supervisor. Job duties may change as required by needs of company.

1. Processes orders for shipping using ERP (SAP) system, both pallet and small packages.

2. Calculate and add freight charges to customer invoices.

3. Process packages in UPS and FedEx software.

4. Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

5. Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

6. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

7. Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or pallets and confirm the correct shipping information on each box/pallet.

8. Will operate stand up and sit down Forklift truck or use hand truck/pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping platform to storage or work to load on LTL Carrier Trailers.

9. Will direct others in preparing outgoing shipments.

10. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

2. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

3. Possess at least three months of similar or related experience.

4. Possess advanced proficiency in one or more software programs including Microsoft Office products, plus knowledge of MRP (Material Requirement Planning).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:

This position requires constant standing, use of hands and fingers, and eye-hand coordination. This position also requires frequent walking, talking, hearing, and occasional sitting, turning, twisting, bending at waist and reaching with hands and arms. Incumbent must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Good close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and the ability to see colors and adjust focus are required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

This position works primarily indoors in a manufacturing setting with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions which may be hot, cold, humid or dry. This position constantly works around moving mechanical parts. This position is occasionally exposed to dusts, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and oil, grease or dirt. A loud noise level is typical for the work environment of this job.
