What is a QC Lab Technician?

The QC Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory testing and quality control activities to ensure raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet established specifications. This role works closely with Production and Quality teams to verify product quality, support troubleshooting, and maintain compliance with standards. The position plays a critical role in ensuring product consistency, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

What You Can Expect to Do as a QC Lab Technician:

  • Perform laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
  • Follow standard test methods and procedures to ensure accurate results
  • Record and analyze test data and report findings
  • Verify that products meet quality specifications and standards
  • Support troubleshooting and investigation of quality issues
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration
  • Document results and maintain accurate lab records
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Communicate results and issues to Production and Quality teams
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment

What We Are Looking For in a QC Lab Technician:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field preferred
  • 0–3 years of experience in a laboratory or quality control role preferred
  • Experience in chemical or manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow standardized testing procedures
  • Basic data analysis and documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
