Overview
Duffy's Napa Valley Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled Associate or Licensed Therapist (Master's level) to join our clinical team. About the Role:
As a therapist at Duffy's, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical services to adults in residential treatment. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized care that supports long-term recovery and personal transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with clinical, medical, and support staff to ensure integrated care
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings
  • Support clients with compassion, professionalism, and trauma-informed care
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
  • Registered Associate or fully Licensed Therapist in California (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC)
  • Experience in substance use treatment or mental health preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
  • Commitment to ethical, client-centered care
Schedule:
  • Preferred: Tuesday - Saturday
  • Alternative option: Sunday - Thursday
  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM minimum workday
Compensation:
  • $41.83-$45 per hour, depending on experience and licensure

Since 1967, Duffy's Napa Valley Rehab has provided addiction and co-occurring mental health treatment for people of all genders. We offer residential, detox, and outpatient services that are customized to meet the unique needs of each person we treat. Our team uses many different types of therapies, including individual, family, and group therapies, as well as experiential therapies such as art therapy, yoga, meditation, and music therapy. This holistic treatment experience has allowed us to help more than 38,000 families overcome their battles with addiction.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and mental disorders.
• Conduct individual, group or family therapy as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.
• Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
• Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed and revise as necessary.
• Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards, revising as necessary.
• Maintain a caseload as assigned.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient as appropriate to their treatment plan.
• May provide these services in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
• Provide case management, discharge planning or after-care planning according to treatment plan.
• May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
• May coordinate various clinical, psychosocial or educational activities with patient and their families.
• Evaluate patient's need and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
• May assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other therapeutic field is required.
• Four or more years' experience as a therapist with two or more years' experience with the specific population of the facility is required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
• State or national licensure for professional therapy providers required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
