Job description

4 Entertainment Group (4EG), located in Cincinnati OH, is looking for a detail-oriented, creative Marketing Manager in our OTR office to competitively position our brands and support our bars in our passion to enhance neighborhoods by creating the most enjoyable guest experiences for people to gather, eat and drink. This role is focused on our brands located in markets outside of Cincinnati, including, but not limited to, Columbus, OH; Naples, FL; and areas just outside of Cincinnati. 

4EG is a privately held, local company founded and helmed by four partners that acquire, develop, and manage a wide-ranging roster of exceptional establishments including: BeelineIgby’s, Japp’s, Killer Queen, The Lackman, Low Spark, Nice Life, Pilar, The Righteous Room, The Roosevelt Room, Rosedale, and The Stretch. Although each place is individually unique, they are all built from the foundation of exceptional friendly service and superior quality of lighting, sound, music and décor. 

The Marketing Manager is responsible for our bar locations’ marketing and communications, including digital marketing and social media, traditional marketing, event planning and community partnerships, and earned media and public relations. All marketing efforts should be designed to increase traffic and revenue for each location. The Marketing Manager will manage a team of marketing assistants and interns and will report to the Marketing Director. 

As 4EG’s Marketing Manager, you will support our passion through your work with a focus on constant communication, having a hospitality mindset, bringing your A-game to work every day, teamwork, and spreading positivity.  

This role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Marketing Team Management 

  • Manage a portfolio of locations external to the Cincinnati market
  • Supervise marketing team members in external markets (part-time or full-time, as markets demand) 
  • Hire, train and develop staff, in collaboration with upper management and HR 
  • Communicate effectively with staff to motivate and maintain a positive and productive work environment 
  • Perform staff performance reviews, identifying areas for development and training needs and ensuring training is implemented, in collaboration with HR 
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, as needed 

            Digital Marketing and Social Media 

            • Edit and oversee the social media content calendar for organic posts across all platforms, utilizing paid advertising and/or boosted posts as needed. 
            • Manage the locations’ online reputation by responding to reviews, customer surveys, and direct messages. 
            • Update and maintain the Wix websites of assigned locations. 
            • Plan and execute email campaigns to market events, private parties, and special promotions using Constant Contact. 
            • Develop search and display campaigns using Google Ads.   
            • Manage location photography and videography needs, including editing of photos and videos to be used for promotions. 
            • Experience with basic graphic design tools like Canva. 

                        Traditional Marketing 

                        • Coordinate and ensure delivery of operational supplies, including table tents, sandwich boards, posters, gift cards, apparel, menus, and more. 
                        • Execute paid marketing campaigns through print media, digital media, radio, and outdoor; analyze and adjust accordingly. 

                          Event Planning and Community Partnerships 

                          • Plan special events at assigned locations to coincide with holidays, sporting events, major milestones, and other opportunities to drive traffic into locations. 
                          • Assist Marketing Director in coordinating sponsorship opportunities with local community events and activities. 
                          • Work with local brands to execute cross-promotions. 
                          • Assist Private Party Sales Manager in planning private events using Tripleseat, as needed. 

                                Earned Media/Public Relations 

                                • Maintain relationships with reporters and bloggers on the lifestyle and hospitality beat local to the locations you manage; Regularly issue press releases and announcements, invite to special events, etc. 
                                • Update the company blog, The Garnish, with intriguing, timely articles. 

                                  Reporting and Performance Insights 

                                  • Track and report on performance of marketing initiatives including events, promotions, paid campaigns, and social media 
                                  • Analyze traffic, sales, and engagement data to identify trends and opportunities 
                                  • Use insights to optimize future campaigns, event programming, and media spend 
                                  • Partner with Operations and Marketing teams to share results and recommendations 
                                  • Maintain consistent reporting processes across assigned locations and markets

                                          • Compliance with all company technology requirements is a must 
                                          • Availability for evening and weekend work as job duties/deadlines demand, to attend and execute promotional/special events, etc. Must be willing and able to travel, including nights and weekends 

                                          Education and Experience 

                                          • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related degree 
                                          • 3-4 years of experience in marketing, events, and/or communications/public relations 
                                          • 1-2 years of experience in supervisory role 
                                          • Strong portfolio 
                                          • Some graphic design experience preferred 
                                          • Hospitality industry knowledge or experience a plus, previous work in a bar or restaurant strongly preferred
