STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Aboutthe role:Narrativeseeks a Strategic Communications Manager to join our dynamic team of communications and public affairs professionals. The ideal candidate will serve on several highly integrated, client-facing account teams focused on a wide variety of issue areas, including healthcare, tech, financial services, energy,and more. Responsibilities include multi-faceted research; writing op-eds, press releases, talking points, and strategic memos; pitching reporters and producers; producing creative content and other collateral; while managing client relationships, product workflow, and approval processes. Strong Managers are supportive to more senior teammates, while serving as a leader and resource to Associates and Interns-contributing to Narrative's collaborative and team-first work environment.


About the ideal candidate:Applicants must have previous experience in politics, public affairs, traditional communications, or public relations. Exceptional writing, analytical, research, editing, and presentation skills are required. Candidates must excel in a fast-paced environment, be able to combine critical thinking and creativity in formulating strategies, and be comfortable managing teammates and workflow to deliver the highest level of service to clients. Working knowledge of Washington, issues management, and policy experience is a plus.
