  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient GIS Analyst to support the certification and quality assurance
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field (Masterโ€™s a plus).


Role Summary:

We are seeking a GIS professional who combines analytical rigor with strong data certification skills to support and improve GIS-based maps products. This hybrid role blends automation and validation workflowsโ€”ranging from QA/QC and labeling to prototyping and analysis. Ideal candidates bring both precision and adaptability, able to toggle between automated data

pipeline development and detailed spatial data analysis.


Core Responsibilities


Data Certification & QA/QC

  • Validate and certify spatial datasets with > 95% accuracy, ensuring quality for operational and analytical use.
  • Perform daily review and editing of 50โ€“300 GIS data points with annotations and metadata tagging.
  • Use human judgment to assess real-world features based on multi-layer imagery and signal data.
  • Support peer-review and feedback processes to improve overall data quality.


Workflow Automation & Prototyping

  • Validate and prototype automation workflows for streamlining GIS data processes.
  • Contribute to the advancement of geospatial tools, including validating data points that train automation enhancements.
  • Support creation of sample data and prototyped features for tool development and ML training.


Spatial Data Analysis

  • Analyze outputs from automated systems to identify patterns and root causes of data errors.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to improve the transportation network and navigation accuracy.
  • Observe and report on anomalies in data signals, system behaviors, or procedural gaps.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Engage with data analysts, project leads and mapping specialists to align data quality with project needs.
  • Communicate findings, issues, and improvement suggestions clearly in both technical and operational contexts.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1โ€“2 years of experience in GIS data analysis or editing roles.
