Overview
We are seeking a Junior Information Security Analyst to support and grow within our cybersecurity program across offensive (Red), defensive (Blue), and business integration functions. This role is designed for individuals early in their careers who want broad, hands-on exposure to multiple areas of cybersecurity while building a strong technical foundation. This role will work alongside experienced security professionals to monitor, analyze, test, and improve security controls, with opportunities to rotate across different security disciplines over time.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and triage alerts from security tools (SIEM, EDR, network monitoring)
  • Assist in investigating suspicious activity and security incidents
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
  • Learn and apply adversary techniques in controlled environments
  • Assist with onboarding logs and maintaining visibility across systems
  • Help improve playbooks, documentation, and operational workflows
  • Analyze logs, alerts, and system activity to identify anomalies
  • Contribute to identifying gaps in security controls and processes
  • Work closely with senior analysts, engineers, and IT teams
  • Participate in incident reviews, tabletop exercises, and simulations
  • Continuously build technical skills across multiple security domains
  • Gain experience securing both enterprise IT systems and operational environments
  • Learn how cybersecurity integrates with business operations and uptime requirements

Qualifications
Required
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, cloud technologies, applications, etc.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with others.
  • 1-3-years of experience within information security, IT, or related field

Preferred
  • 4-year degree in information security or related field
  • 4+ years experience within information technology
  • Relevant Certifications
  • Exposure to scripting
  • Hands-on lab, internship, or CTF experience

Our steel operations produce steel products, including hot roll, cold roll, and coated sheet steel, structural steel beams and shapes, rail, engineered special-bar-quality steel, cold finished steel, merchant bar products, and specialty steel sections. Our metals recycling operations collect and process ferrous and nonferrous scrap from manufacturing and end-of-life items, such as automobiles, appliances, and machinery. This processed scrap is then sold to end-users for reuse, including our EAF steel mills, which produce new steel from the scrapped material. We sell a meaningful amount of steel to our own steel fabrication operations that in turn produce and sell structural steel joist and deck building systems to consumers.
