Job description

*Remote Contract-to-Hire Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their ServiceNow Technical Lead position! This is an 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity and can be remote in the United States working east coast hours. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead the transition of ServiceNow applications from implementation to production, ensuring stability, scalability, and long-term sustainability
  • Take ownership of understanding, documenting, and rationalizing all existing ServiceNow implementations delivered by a third-party partner
  • Serve as the technical authority, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and non-scalable workflow designs-and proactively driving corrective action
  • Partner closely with Product Management to translate business needs into clear, actionable ServiceNow solutions
  • Provide solution options (e.g., multiple approaches with tradeoffs) to support informed decision-making
  • Perform code reviews, QA oversight, and light hands-on development (~50% technical oversight / 50% leadership & stakeholder engagement)
  • Guide the transition from vendor-led delivery to internal ownership and support model
  • Act as the primary technical counterbalance to external partners, ensuring architectural integrity and best practices
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and custom applications are aligned with enterprise needs
  • Mentor and develop junior talent (including interns), building internal ServiceNow capability and bench strength

What You'll Need to Have:
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end ServiceNow implementations, including transition to production and support
  • Deep hands-on expertise with ServiceNow App Engine / Workflow Engine and custom application development
  • Strong ability to evaluate and challenge existing technical solutions, particularly workflows and platform design
  • Experience working alongside third-party vendors and the ability to hold them accountable to best practices and delivery standards
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions within ServiceNow
  • Strong background in code review, QA processes, and platform governance
  • Ability to operate as a technical lead without heavy day-to-day coding, while still being capable of contributing when needed
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage assertively with stakeholders and partners
  • High level of integrity, especially in representing certifications and experience (all certifications must be active and verifiable)

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with AWS-based data platforms, including APIs, integrations, and data pipelines
  • Exposure to or interest in Master Data Management (MDM) and how it integrates with ServiceNow
  • Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD) (must be current and verifiable)

Pay Range: $65-$70/hr
