Job description

About Rubrik's Sales Organization

Rubrik's sales team helps enterprises and government entities achieve cyber resilience - protection against cyberattacks, malicious insiders, and operational disruptions. Our One Rubrik selling approach means you'll have cross-functional support, dedicated enablement resources, and a clear path to exceed your goals and grow your career. All while doing something that matters: protecting the world's data.

About This Role

Sales Development Representatives are the engine of Rubrik's go-to-market strategy. Through targeted outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification, you'll generate a high-quality pipeline for our field sales teams. This means researching accounts, crafting personalized outreach, and earning meetings with decision-makers at organizations that need what Rubrik offers.

This is a launchpad role - built to develop you into a full-cycle sales professional. Our SDRs receive structured coaching, ongoing training, and a defined career path into closing roles.

What You'll DoProspecting & Pipeline Generation
  • Research target accounts, identify high-potential contacts, and craft personalized outreach across email, phone, and social channels to generate qualified meetings for field sales teams
  • Leverage customer success stories, case studies, and proof points in your outreach to demonstrate real-world impact - connecting a prospect's pain to how Rubrik has already solved it for organizations like theirs
  • Follow up on marketing-generated inbound leads within established SLA and compliance metrics
  • Manage your pipeline, leads, and activity data in Salesforce with discipline and accuracy
  • Track and report on your performance against defined activity and outcome targets
Collaboration & Strategy
  • Partner with your aligned field sales team to develop account strategies and break into priority accounts
  • Stay current on cybersecurity trends, the competitive landscape, and industry developments to sharpen your messaging and relevance
  • Develop deep fluency in Rubrik's products and the business problems we solve for customers
  • Participate in ongoing coaching sessions, call reviews, pitch competitions, and bootcamps designed to accelerate your sales skills.
What You'll BringRequired:
  • 0-2 years of experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or a customer-facing role (internships and non-traditional backgrounds welcome)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest and aptitude for learning technical concepts quickly
  • Comfort working in a metrics-driven environment with clear daily and weekly targets
  • A genuine desire to build a career in sales and business development
  • Ability to work out of Rubrik's Austin office a minimum of 4 days a week
  • Work-authorization: U.S. citizenship and residency on U.S. soil required
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, Orum, or similar sales engagement tools
  • Exposure to cybersecurity or data management technology
  • Experience using AI-powered sales tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gong, Clari, 6sense) to improve prospecting efficiency
What Makes Someone Successful Here
  • Intellectually Hungry - You ask questions, seek feedback, and treat every conversation as a chance to learn something new
  • Integrity - You're honest with prospects, teammates, and yourself. You do the right thing even when no one is watching
  • Execution-Focused - You prioritize ruthlessly, manage your time well, and consistently deliver against your activity and outcome targets
  • Collaborative - You celebrate team wins, share what's working, and actively contribute to a culture that makes everyone better
  • Driven - You hold yourself to a higher standard than anyone else would set for you
  • AI-Tool Fluent - You actively integrate AI and automation into your daily workflow - whether that's using AI-assisted research to build smarter account plans, leveraging tools like conversational intelligence platforms to sharpen call performance, or using generative AI to draft and iterate on personalized outreach at speed. You see AI as a force multiplier, not a shortcut
