About the Opportunity

Confidential Search Solutions (CSS) is recruiting an experienced Technology Trainer for a 6-month remote contract opportunity supporting a large municipal utility organization based in San Antonio, Texas. This position will play an important role in technology adoption and employee development initiatives, with an immediate focus on the organization's transition from Cisco Webex to Microsoft Teams and the implementation and adoption of Microsoft Copilot.

We are seeking an engaging, knowledgeable trainer who can effectively work with employees across different departments and technical skill levels. The ideal candidate will have strong facilitation and communication skills combined with hands-on experience in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and enterprise business applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver engaging virtual technology training to employees with varying levels of technical experience.
  • Support the transition from Cisco Webex to Microsoft Teams, including meetings, chat, channels, file sharing, calendars, and collaboration tools.
  • Train employees on Microsoft Copilot, including effective prompting, responsible AI use, productivity applications, and reviewing AI-generated information.
  • Provide department-specific training, small-group sessions, one-on-one coaching, refresher sessions, and technology office hours.
  • Develop quick-reference guides, FAQs, presentations, job aids, user guides, and reusable training resources.
  • Provide training support for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, Salesforce, and other enterprise applications as needed.
  • Assist with employee training related to cybersecurity awareness, artificial intelligence, data privacy, and other required technology or compliance programs.
  • Quickly learn new systems, software enhancements, and business processes and translate them into practical, easy-to-understand training.
  • Support technology implementations, system changes, digital transformation initiatives, and employee adoption efforts.
  • Track training participation and feedback and identify recurring challenges or opportunities for additional support.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in technology training, software training, employee enablement, or a related field.
  • Experience delivering virtual and instructor-led training to adult learners.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-enabled productivity tools is highly desirable.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, practical, non-technical language.
  • Experience creating training presentations, job aids, user documentation, and instructional materials.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote work environment while managing multiple training priorities.

Preferred Experience

Experience with enterprise technology implementations, change management, software adoption, instructional design, SharePoint, Power BI, Salesforce, cybersecurity training, or AI-related employee training is a plus.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $48.00–$55.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

If you are an experienced technology trainer who enjoys helping employees become more confident and productive with Microsoft Teams, Copilot, and enterprise technology, CSS would like to connect with you.
