To support the significant growth and development of the organization, we are seeking the expertise and capability of a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic team.

What you’ll do at HammerTech

The BDR is responsible for working collaboratively with HammerTech Account Executives to:

  • Prospect into strategic business accounts via cold call, email and social strategies
  • Drive sales growth and pipeline through setting up meetings for Account Executives with prospective clients
  • Build relationships with existing customers through consistent follow up, reliable communication and frequent updates on product developments, identify opportunities for expanded use of the HammerTech product, and set up meetings with Account  Executives

Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate prospective client needs by researching industry to identify new leads
  • Act as first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
  • Support Account Executives on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and business development openings
  • Build relationships with existing customers through consistent follow up, reliable communication and frequent updates on product developments
  • Closely monitor existing HammerTech customers to identify opportunities for expanded use of the HammerTech product, and set up meetings to progress such expansion
  • Present product information to customers once needs are identified
  • Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-ups with  Account Executives
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to to ensure the company's goals and targets are me
  • Other duties to enhance business development as required

  • Tertiary qualifications in sales, marketing, business or a related field
  • Experience in SaaS business development in construction or related industry 
  • Ability to learn HammerTech’s platform and functionality as it relates to the construction industry
  • Excellent client services skills and the capacity to easily build rapport and establish relationships with prospects and clients
  • Excellent listening skills and the capacity to probe and clarify to get a real sense of customer's needs
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a high performing team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to meet weekly targets and key performance indicators
  • Proven initiative and a competitive drive
  • Strong resilience, perseverance, and an ability to overcome objections
  • Experience working with Salesforce/HubSpot or other CRM is desired
  • Successful completion of coursework in business development techniques, marketing, and communication may be advantageous
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $60,600.00 to $75,600.00 per year. Actual compensation will vary based on candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
