Job description

Job Title: 533467 - Robot / Automation Engineer

Location: Dodge Center, MN

Experience Level: 5-7 Years


Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Experience programming ABB welding robots is required. Candidates must be able to create, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize ABB RAPID programs for robotic welding applications.

Experience troubleshooting robotic welding systems, weld schedules, torch calibration, touch sensing, seam tracking, and production support.

Ability to diagnose and resolve robot, electrical, mechanical, and process-related issues in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience programming and supporting ABB robotic paint systems.

Experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLCs, including Studio 5000/RSLogix, HMI, VFDs, servo motion, and industrial Ethernet networks.

Experience with industrial controls, I/O systems, safety circuits, and field devices.

Knowledge of robotic vision systems, seam tracking, and automation integration.

Experience commissioning new equipment and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Requirement:

โ€ข Hands-on ABB welding robot programming experience is mandatory.

โ€ข Experience with ABB paint robots and Rockwell PLC/controls is highly desired and will be considered a strong advantage.


Qualification:

โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
