This Monday through Friday full-time position offers a consistent 8:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays, providing excellent work-life balance while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.
As part of a collaborative team of six including providers, patient service specialists, technicians, and clinical staff, you'll support patients through a variety of ophthalmic services , including preventive eye care, treatment planning, patient education, and care coordination. You'll play an important role in ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout their experience. New graduates will benefit from a supportive team environment committed to mentorship, collaboration, and professional development. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy patient education, attention to detail, teamwork, and developing long-term relationships with patients.
This is a Registered Nurse 1 vacancy open to candidates with 0 - 1 year of RN work experience.
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
o Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Summary:
The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.
MH RN I: This level represents the beginner in their clinical role. This care team member has less than 12 months experience and is primarily developing the required knowledge and skills to work within their setting. Level I must achieve all performance expectations, by completion of facility and unit orientation, and satisfactorily completing the introductory period.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: New Grad or RN with less than 12 months experience.

The pay range for this position is $31.79 to $43.02 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
