• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, either in clients' homes or via our online platform, focusing on age-appropriate strategies that resonate with youth.
• Implement targeted interventions for skill-building in areas such as anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills while working to minimize high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
• Enhance decision-making skills for both youth and their caregivers to navigate and resolve behavioral challenges within the home environment.
• Engage in collaborative practices with the Child Family Treatment Team, along with various other professionals, to ensure a cohesive treatment plan that addresses all aspects of the youth’s developmental progress.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation including, but not limited to, intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes to align with organizational standards.
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights and strategies while contributing recommendations for continuous improvement of services.

This role primarily focuses on children aged 3 to 20 years who experience developmental and intellectual disabilities. As a therapist, you will be at the forefront of implementing therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the complex needs of this diverse population. You will help empower children and their families to face challenges and build resilience, fostering growth and connection while reducing barriers to mental health support.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week for after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM is required, with some weekend flexibility highly desirable.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
• The candidate must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting, prior to starting.

• Experience providing positive behavior support programs.
• Previous work or internship experience with children exhibiting ages from 3 to 20, particularly those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), is advantageous.
