Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring a high level of professionalism.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research and practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Betis' Youth & Family Support Services, you will work primarily with underserved individuals and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. This includes but is not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and family dynamics. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing support to those who may not have access to traditional mental health resources.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • An active, unrestricted LMHC license in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards within mental health practice.
