Santa Chiara Children's Home/Pax et Bonum Communications Marketing Internship

This internship provides a student with hands-on experience in book marketing, nonprofit awareness, and institutional advancement with the nonprofits of Santa Chiara Children's Home and Pax et Bonum Communications. The intern will design and execute a multi-phase campaign culminating in a final advancement initiative.

Internship is a good fit for a current UPIKE student with interest/major/minor in communication, film and media arts, information technology, English, management, medical humanities, social work, religious studies, or cultural studies.

By the end of the internship, the student will:

  • Design and implement a marketing strategy for books and mission-based content
  • Create and manage a nonprofit awareness campaign across digital platforms
  • Brainstorm and provide initial planning for an advancement campaign
  • Analyze campaign data to improve performance and decision-making
  • Demonstrate growth in professional communication, leadership, and collaboration
  • Reflect on personal strengths, career goals, and vocational direction

Throughout the experience, the intern will intentionally develop competencies identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, including communication, critical thinking, leadership, professionalism, teamwork, technology, equity & inclusion, and career & self-development.

Pay Rate: Beginning at $8.75/hour

Location: Record 602 (Generally remote)

Terms: Upon hire, the intern must register for the Summer II Internship course. To receive course credit, students will complete assignments concurrently with internship work. Students are required to work a total minimum of 80 hours and will eligible for the following credit hours: 80-119 hours of work + course completion = 2 credit hours; 120-159 hours of work + course completion = 3 credit hours; 160-199 hours of work + course completion = 4 credit hours; 200-239 hours of work + course completion = 5 credit hours; 240+ hours of work = 6 credit hours. Summer interns in this position cannot exceed 40 hours of work per week.
