Your daily responsibilities will be multifaceted, including:

• Providing weekly supervision and guidance to practicum students currently enrolled in Master’s programs or pursuing clinical licensure.
• Conducting individual and group psychotherapy sessions, addressing a variety of mental health concerns through evidence-based practices.
• Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals and community resources to create a holistic treatment approach, ensuring clients have access to necessary services.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and circumstances.
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development by staying informed of the latest research, therapeutic modalities, and best practices in mental health care.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• Professional liability insurance to protect practice and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling.

While the above qualifications are essential, we prefer candidates who have:

• Experience supervising or mentoring practicum students or interns.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and online counseling platforms.
