Collaboration is facilitated through secure digital platforms, regular video conferences, and mentorship from senior team members. Interns are encouraged to participate in virtual meetings, work with cross-functional teams, and provide status updates, ensuring they remain engaged and integrated despite the remote setting. This structure not only helps interns build valuable technical and communication skills but also mirrors the increasingly digital nature of the defense sector.

What are remote defense internships?

Remote defense internships are temporary, project-based positions offered by companies or government agencies in the defense sector that allow students or recent graduates to work from home or any location, rather than on-site. These internships provide hands-on experience in areas such as cybersecurity, engineering, intelligence analysis, or policy research, often involving sensitive or classified information. The remote format allows interns to collaborate virtually with professionals, gain industry knowledge, and build skills relevant to national security and defense without needing to relocate.
