• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients, employing tools like the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to determine diagnoses and establish individualized care plans.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to monitor patient progress, implementing strategies and evidence-based interventions tailored to support mental health diagnoses.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment records, reports, and clinical information in compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies, using current technology.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to develop comprehensive treatment plans that align with the individual’s needs and goals while advocating for culturally sensitive care.
• Actively engage in the ongoing evaluation of patient progress, modifying treatment strategies to enhance safety and symptom reduction, demonstrating adaptability in approach.
• Coordinate referrals and act as a liaison between patients and ancillary treatment providers, fostering effective relationships to streamline patients' pathways to care.
• Serve as a mentor, providing guidance and education to interns and new staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.

Your work will predominantly focus on individuals and families who are navigating the complexities of mental health challenges, primarily as they relate to cancer diagnoses. You will offer empathetic and targeted support for patients who may be experiencing heightened emotional distress, fear, or uncertainty surrounding their conditions. • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.

Experience working within a detox or addiction recovery setting is highly desirable, as is familiarity with trauma-informed care practices. Additional certifications or training in mental health therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) would be advantageous.

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
