Job description

Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978, is a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human, housing, educational and cultural services to diverse communities, specializing in service to Latinos in Washington State. Sea Mar proudly serves all persons without regard to race, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, or sexual orientation, and regardless of ability to pay for services.

We are recruiting for the following position: Business Systems Application Analyst. Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization. Position Summary: support of electronic health records systems, as well as technology projects and system analysis in support of multiple business and external regulatory compliance requirements. Various builds within the applications along with direct vendor coordination of implementations and upgrades including testing, validation, as well as escalation of production issues for resolution. This is an on-site and on-call requirement position.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide daily and ongoing technical support as required by the user community: interface between end users and vendor support to resolve application issues; provide end user assistance as required for daily functional activities; track issues and change requests; submit, manage and track escalated issues with vendor technical support; daily monitoring of application operations.
  • As the SME, support training as required assisting with training documentation preparation as well as, on an as needed basis, conducting end user training.
  • Process Improvement: install, configure, and maintain application modules in coordination with vendors and IT Infrastructure. Assist with upgrades, coordinate the management of security roles and standards, migrate and convert data in coordination with vendors and other IT teams.
  • Under supervision, implement, configure and test new product introductions.
  • Provide test scripts and procedures to ensure compliance with current standards and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop new tools to Epic.
  • Document all modifications and enhancements and changes to applications.
  • Maintain supported software with respect to revisions and updates to include but not be limited to functional testing prior to updates/upgrades.
  • Report development including modification and additions; maintaining version control of reports and their associated code as appropriate.
  • Submit periodic activity reports as directed.
  • In coordination with the IT Applications Supervisor, review current IT policies and assist with revisions or enhancements as needed.
  • Present periodic and ad hoc reports to management and/or organization committees.
  • Perform business process analysis related to current and developing technologies.
  • Ensure that applications meet business requirements and fulfill end-user requests.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Work with departments, system owners, and stakeholders in testing new application services.
  • Ensure that new application enhancements meet functional requirements and architecture standard.
  • Coordinate with system administrators to install application enhancements and upgrades.
  • Research software products and services in support of Epic development efforts.
  • Maintain an active communication with application vendors for prompt response to problems and emergencies.
  • Provide after-hours (on-call) support on rotating basis with other staff members.
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of best practices for application usage and HIPAA standards.
  • Complete other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare application support or closely related activities.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws, including HIPAA and TJC.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated history of working independently.
  • Demonstrated history of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of SDLC.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Project management experience (preferred).
  • System integration and interface experience.
  • Knowledge of client/server technology, LAN/WAN network concepts, end user reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SQL and SQL reporting.
  • Epic Certification in one or more modules (Ambulatory, Cadence/Prelude, Wisdom, etc.).
  • AD/Security group experience.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Epic certification (Ambulatory, Cadence/Prelude, etc.).
  • A valid Washington Driverโ€™s License and current automobile insurance.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a Medical or Religious exemption.
Work Environment

Standard onsite office/technology work environment. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The employee may be required to share workspace with other employees. There is adequate lighting and equipment. On-call availability is required.

Physical Requirements

Repetitive motions of hands/wrists. Sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Occasional lifting, bending, or carrying.

Salary

Salary - Salary Plan, 80,168.40 USD Annual.
