• Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of clients to establish effective treatment plans based on empirical evidence and individual needs.
• Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, fostering teamwork that promotes holistic care and encourages diverse treatment perspectives.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date clinical records, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations across all client interactions.
• Continually seek to expand your knowledge of mental health research, participating in related workshops and professional development opportunities to enhance effectiveness in delivering care.

Our clientele varies widely, encompassing individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and relationship issues. As a counselor, you will be expected to customize approaches based on the specific challenges and backgrounds of each client, ensuring they feel valued and understood throughout their therapeutic journey.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in the state of Virginia is essential.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing counseling services within a clinical setting, focusing on outpatient services, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines, legal regulations, and best practices related to mental health counseling.

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with the therapist's caseload and experience.
