Job description

Location: Remote
Time Frame: Start date around June 1st, with flexibility
State legislatures are ground zero in the fight for democracy. Since 2017, Forward Majority has been a leading organization at the frontline of the fight to accelerate Democratic power in state legislatures. To date, we've mobilized over $120 million to advance our mission.
As we continue to build and scale our work in the years ahead, interns are an essential addition to our team. Interns must be current college students.
Ideally, this candidate will have:
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work remotely with access to the internet and a laptop
  • Knowledge of Google apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Desire to learn more about the operations and compliance necessary to support and political organization and campaigns

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Supporting the Chief of Staff by researching and drafting implementation plans for operational improvements to the organization
  • Proofing documents
  • Maintaining the compliance database with detail oriented data entry

Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship, however, interns will be given a $800 / month stipend and $200 / month to cover any expenses. Interns must be current college students.
Interns may utilize this internship for college credit. The internship will include a series of brown bag lunches with key staff members and progressive consultants. Interns will learn about political fundraising, digital programs, designing paid media, the use of key progressive technology, and legislative research, among other skills needed for a career in campaign politics.
