Niagara Career Technical Education Center- Sanborn, New York
Description: This individual must be a registered professional nurse who will be responsible for providing instruction to high school juniors and seniors in the area of allied health. Instructional points include but are not limited to: career opportunities in health care, medical ethics, communication/interpersonal skills, infection control, asepsis and microbiology, anatomy and physiology, patient care skills, math and science principles, public health care policies, cardio pulmonary resuscitation, basic life support, first aid and emergency care, technology and computer skills, and problem solving. Additional responsibilities may include but not be limited to becoming a college course instructor with Genesee County Community College and Niagara University, and organizing shadowing and internship sites for students. The individual should have or be willing to obtain a bachelor's degree. A master's degree is preferred. Must have or be eligible for NYS teacher certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.
Qualifications:
N.Y.S. R.N License and all immunizations are required
New York State Teacher Certification in Practical Nursing 7-12
Current technical nursing skills
Computer competency
Excellent interpersonal skills
CPR certification
Anticipated Salary:
$54,000-$92,000 commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package available.
